HRU-1R Hydrostatic Release Unit is designed for liferafts, meets all kinds of liferaft to automatic release underwater. It has a high strength nylon rope for connection, tensile strength is 1,6 tons, completely meet the impact to HRU from ships strong shaking. Its release at 1.5 – 4 meters, under water pressure, it will release the blade, cut the nylon rope, let the liferafts free from the raft frame and then rise automatically.
